Compact Laser Line Scanner Offers Fast and Accurate CMM Inspection

The XLP 3D Laser Scanners from CyberOptics provides versatile industry best speed, accuracy and resolution for laser line scanning technology on coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and are available in a variety of laser line lengths. With the ability to scan everything from small, highly detailed parts, to large automotive and aerospace parts, XLP probes are the answer for precise CMM laser scanning.

XLP laser probes are fully integrated with CyberOptics Surveyor 3D scanning systems and are also available to be retrofitted onto existing CMM’s. The XLP is available in models 250, 500 and 1000 with nominal line lengths of 35 mm, 50 mm and 86 mm with scanning accuracy of 6µm, 12µm and 24µm. The probes are fitted with the Renishaw PH10M universal joint and multiwire compatible for use with probe change racks.

The XLP obtain high speed point cloud data collection with a 70% faster scan rate saving time with fast program set up with the Surveyor Scan Control (SSC) and direct plugins to inspection and reverse engineering software packages. The system scans efficiently with a gigabit ethernet connection that’s plug and play ready for existing CMM’s.
