Verify surface quality & dimensional accuracy of small features on large components

Our cobots consist of a collaborative 6-axis robot and a stable optical 3D measurement sensor, which provides repeatable and traceable measurements in high resolution even under production conditions. Handling, programming and measurement of taught-in measurement series do not require any previous metrology knowledge.

This makes cobots ideal for verifying the surface finish and dimensional accuracy of workpieces in existing production environments. Users check the surface quality and dimensional accuracy of small features on large components.

Examples from the Cobot series are the CompactCobot, the TurbineCobot or the DiscCobot, which are used in the aircraft, automotive and tool industries for industrial quality assurance. Users also benefit from the high mobility and flexibility of the collaborative systems, as the cobots can be positioned as desired due to their mobile design. This allows users to measure their components directly in the machine tool.

With the connected automation software, any series of measurements can be defined at several positions, which the operator then starts at the touch of a button. Control and measurement are fully automated, and after completion the worker receives a measurement report indicating OK or not OK.
